As the Americas Marketing Lead for the Financial Services industry practice at Cisco, Kathryn is responsible for establishing industry and business relevance, creating market awareness and stimulating demand for Cisco’s business solutions for Retail Banking, Insurance and Financial Markets. Kathryn is responsible for go-to-market strategy, planning and execution with a focus on thought leadership, social media, PR, solution launches, demand generation, customer councils and events. In support of Cisco’s sales team, Kathryn focuses on getting outside of IT, reaching line-of-business executives, and transforming Cisco from an infrastructure company to a strategic IT and business solutions provider.
Prior to her current position, Kathryn served as an Americas Industry Marketing Manager with Cisco, where she helped grow Cisco’s awareness and relevance through high scale marketing and thought leadership for the Financial Services and Manufacturing & Energy sectors. Kathryn also led the marketing for the Smart+Connected Real Estate industry, managing third-party sponsorships, and implementing strategies for high touch and high scale marketing, as well as thought leadership. She has previous experience in Cisco’s Partner Marketing organization as Global Marketing Services Manager, as well as managing Media and Entertainment clients as a Customer Program Manager with Motricity.
Kathryn received her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations/ Business from East Carolina University. Kathryn currently resides in the Raleigh-Durham North Carolina Area with her husband and enjoys cooking, exercising, volunteering with the Raleigh Junior League, and spending time with family and friends.
